Masking

I was given a psd template to use on a regular basis. I need to update an image within the psd that is masked. How can I insert a new image into the mask, or apply the mask the have created to the new image. Plase help!

Paste your image.......Ctrl-click the mask icon (this will select it) then go to Layer > Add Layer Mask > Reveal Selection (or hide selection...whichever you need). This will apply the same mask to your new layer.

Also just to make it easier you can create a new alpha channel (channels palette..click "new" icon while the mask is selected) this way you always have a backup for your mask when you want it.
