I have Photoshop 6.0, I know a tincy bit about the program, but i want to learn how to use it, yet i always end up using psp 7(bad habit). I'm wanting to create good clean vehicle textures for a game... i also want to create good graphics. Wondering if you guys could help me out.... I ask Jmulder(rippance) alot, but he's often busy with his own projects. |

I always start with Dummies books. In this case Photoshop 6.0 for Dummies (no harm intended).

If you're wanting to do game textures specifically, I would recommend checking out some game development sites. Like www.gamedev.net. If you are wanting ot learn just general photoshop as well, I would read a lot of tutorials on the internet. Also the manual is a good place to start. And maybe buy a good book to read. |

I would get a book on Photoshop and take a couple of weeks to get to know the program. Then go and do your textures. It will make everything allot easier in the end, believe me. I've done a number of textures for Quake 3 maps and Theres more to it than just make them tile. So go spend $35 for a book and really know what you are doing. |
