Thats just a font. Go to the resources section of this forum and find some free fonts. Either that or get some grunge brushes (find links to good sites with brushes in the resources forum) and make your own grungy looking text. tom |

The font on the 1st picture looks like Aachen or Aardvark Bold with a stroked border (find the effect in the layers style). Make a selection of your text (shift click the type layer) and then take grunge brush of your choice and on a seperate layer paint on the grunge.

I agree with the hermit, AAchen and put an inside stroke on it. Don't remove the anti-alias though, it will look even better.

HI, im almost there.. So far ive got the Aachen font, and I've gone.. Filter>Brush Strokes>Spatter. I've got the effect that i want, besides the stroke. I want an outline around the new type of text (like the header on purelyrap.net), but instead I'm getting and outline of the original font. heres an example of the stroke that I'm getting. http://www31.brinkster.com/houseofhh/texteffect.jpg if anybody knows how i can get an outline of the new type of text please tell me. thanks alot, capone |

I just remembered that I did something similar a while ago. Here it is: http://www.xiidesign.com/main.html. If you like that style, let me know, it's fairly easy to do. later |
