driving me crazy

In photoshop 7, I create a graphic. But most of the time the default size of the canvas is bigger than the graphic. How can I "snap," the canvas size to the picture size?

When you create a new document you can specify the size. Should be one of the first things that comes up.

Also if you open a new document (like an image that already exists) you can go image --> image size, and see what the size is.

Also if you Copy something then open a new image it should automatically be sized to the image you copied.

Not sure exactly what your question is, but you can always resize the canvas.
