I have the basic header graphic planned out on paper, prob is I'm new to photoshop and I'm not sure how big to make the image. How would I go about planning out the width and height of the image that will fit in everyone's resolution when they view my website?

Most people these days use 800x600 or above. So you can make the width 800, but it wont fit the whole page. If you want the banner to fit the whole page, make the banner in 3 parts. The front end will contain graphics, the middle will be pretty much plain which makes it expandable, then the last end, more graphics if you want. Then use frames for the banner. Im going out for awhile so I cant start explaining the coding...maybe later...hope it helped...

790 is a safe number for a header width (not fully 800 due to the scroll bar). Most ppl are either on 800x600 or above (mostly above.) For the height of the header...i wouldnt go more than 150px. Also i would advise against frames. If its a header it will fit nicely into a table. Also you may want to center the website so a table would help.

uhg I hate frames! I never use them, I only use tables to layout my sites. Well I'll be up for awhile learning adobe but my graphics suck really badly lol. When ever you get a chance can you show me about what you mean with the coding?

-Thanks for the help.
