Take the images, Add a color overlay, pick your color, but where is says "Normal" change it to "color" (bottom of drop down)

Hope that helps...

A color adjustment layer is the way to go... it'll leave the original images intact.

No problem digitalfli. The only downside to using color overlay for this sort of thing is that if you want to group another layer/shape into the layer with the color overlay, it wont work. In that case, use another method that was posted here.

It will if you use a Layer Mask along with the Adjustment Layer.

Select the layer with only the image and press Ctrl-U. Adjust settings to fit your liking. You can also first make it black/white. So, press Ctrl-Shift-U. then Ctrl-U and adjust to fit your liking.

Colorize really is a great tool, I think I actually use it more than anything else. Aside from like, select.
