As a follow-up, is there any way to sketch something in Illustrator? Just like if you were going to use a small brush on low opacity and just wanted to sketch in Photoshop. I tried in Illustrator and since the lines are all vector it got screwed up. And are the any good tutorials about making vector drawings like everyone is doing of their girlfriends and dogs and everything? tom |

One place to start (at least it got me to start--lol....) I took an image that had some really defined areas and turned the opacity down. Then started outlining the image on layers underneath it. The pen tool isnt hard, really, its just awkward if you are used to using brushes and pencils. You'll figure out how it works pretty fast.
