round cornes and stuff ?

man ive been tryin and tryin and i can get nowhere =(
Im totaly new to photoshop.. Photoshop 7. A birthday present and i better learn it.

My problem is several =)
First of round corners like these images

hard edges like these

Those are yust examples form my forum.

But every time i try to do some round nice effect on images they tend to be a bit squared in the curves and wont blend in so nice.
Is there some kind of fading or something going on ?

You should give us examples of your images that you are trying to make so we can see what's wrong with them.

Hi.

First of I don' see any round corners when checkiin out the first link...Them round corners I thought you meant you can do like this

hmm i must be stupid or something =)
I found these cool tips and tuts on the main site LOL
Made me a metal sphere thing. didnt get the metal look correct tho i think ?
