This is just too much too explain. Go to: http://www.freewebs.com/stk15/temp_03.jpg (might need to copy and paste URL), to see the image I'm talking about. You see the area outlined in blue pencil? How can I fill JUST THAT PART of the rounded rectangle with a gradient? This is one of the things that I still haven't figured out. Thanks for any help.

Make that blue pencil rectangle a selection and then use the gradient tool to fill in the selection. Do it on the rectangle layer if you want - or do it on a separate layer. Doesn't matter.

I just used the pencil tool to select what I want to fill, just for display purposes. What I am trying to do is fill the rounded rectangle with a gradient only on the RIGHT side of it... and the gradient should blend in with the left...sort of a 'foreground to transparent' gradient with 'reverse' checked. Get it now?

Wait.

If you want to fill a gradient in the rounded box, then what do you want to do iwth the smaller box?

Lol, and what is this "Reverse checked" you speak of?

Haha still not getting it

Well I don't quite understand what you mean but I think I got it. Check this image and see if it's what you're looking for. It's pretty much exactly what they told you, but just see if this is what you mean....

Edit: I know it doesn't blend exactly on the left side but that's partyly because I was editing your jpeg instead of the psd itself so the two whites are a little off. But if you used the same technique on your psd file it would come out blended exactly the same.

There's a Foreground Color to Transparent setting in the Gradient Fill options. Use it.
