resizinng background |

hi I added o pix to my background for a splash and I need to stretch out the background so in betwween the 2 characters i can rite my title but wen i resize it the whole thig gets rewsized leaving me no room for writing so is there a way 2 umm well only resize the background and not the characters in it? please be specific on how? :confused:

Is your background white? If so, instead of going resize image, choose resize canvas. Then arrange as you like. If your background is not white, then I don't think its possible because the background will be stretched. Maybe that's ok then. tom |

umm my background i made it and its not white can I still resize it?

You can resize it but it will be stretched. If thats OK, then go to resize canvas and choose the dimensions you want. Then click your background layer(s -merge them if more than one) and use free transform to stretch them, too. I have a hard time believing this is what you want to do though because this would stretch the background. Maybe post an image of what it looks like now? tom |
