Er, a rectangle doesn't have any circular sides. So the answer is no. No.

lol. If you want a certain size box just turn on the rulers. If you have trouble seeing the rulers (its hard to line up a selection using them) just drag out a couple guides. |

In the Options Toolbar while the Rect. Marquee Tool selected, Select Fixed Size in the Style pull-down, then enter your values in the Width and Height. Radius applies to circles... so if you thinking rounded rectangle marquees, it's a different method. |

I think I should've said rounded rectangle marquees. I thought it was the radius because when you use the shape tools, you have to specify a radius for the "rounded-ness" for rectangles. So how do I specify the roundness?

There is no Rounded Rectangle Marquee tool; however there is a way to do so another way. Basically you use the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U), input your desired radius and then make the rectangle the size you want the marquee to be. Afterwards just CTRL+Click the layer with only that rounded rectangle in to get the selection. Delete the layer afterwards. That's the most basic method out of many, and probably won't work as well as the others but try it anyway. |

Furthermore, a rounded rectangle would Still not have a radius. Do you not know what a radius is? A radius is the line that connects the center of a figure to the edge of the figure, and by definition the radius, no matter what point of the figure it connects the center to, is constant. Therefore only a circle can have a radius. |

DUDE! I know what a radius is... I just thought it would be the same for rounded corners since basically... they ARE half circles.

No round corners on rectangular marquees, unless you create them, using any of a number of techniques. Slow, and inaccurate, at best. Corner radius-setting is available on the Rounded Rectangle Custom Shape. Fast and easy. Is that enough info? |
