I'm having difficulty making a "spray" logo for half life as my front text layer keeps blending in with the blue background layer. The background has to be blue so it will show up as transparent in the game. It has to be PURE blue, no off shades of blue at all can be in the background. So, I need a way to prevent my text layer from blending with the blue color of the background layer. I'm pretty new to photoshop, so please help! (btw i have PS7)

Thanks in advance

I don't know what a "spray" logo is but if you have two shades of blue and the contast isn't right, maybe go to the layer styles for the text and add a contasting stroke around the edge. Or maybe I'm completely missing the point.

Actually i'm using a stroke style right now for it. Let me try to explain clearer.....a spray logo is a custom bitmap that you can "spraypaint" onto the walls/floor/ceiling of the game by pressing a key. There are certain size/resolution restrictions, but i have no problems with those. In a spray logo, the color PURE blue (0 red, 0 green, 255 blue) makes it show up as transparent. I'm trying to make some text with various effects on it show up as just the words (transparency shows the normal game's texture thru the blue parts of the bitmap)

The problem i'm having is when I do some layer styles I get the black and white (mostly white) of my text blend in with the blue, producing various shades of off blue. These shades show up in the game as a VERY obvious blue border around the text. So, I need a way to make it so that my text layer does not blend in with my blue background.

P.S Does anyone know of any good hosts i can put some pictures on to show you what im talking about?

You could try www.freewebs.com to host the pictures but right now I can truthfully tell you that I have no idea what you should do.

Sorry.
