This is what is written on the page: "Start out with a new image and type your text out. Use black for this exercise. Once done go to layer/type/render layer" However when I get to "Type" and the next window comes up there is no option of "Render Layer" The top iten is "create work path" Just so you know where I am looking at. I do not see Render anyplace. What am I doing wrong, or am I not looking inthe right place? Thanks |

Ive actually havent heard of Render layer. (what version you using??...it's probably in old versions) my guess is underneath type(in the menu)....click rasterize > type. Or right click on your text layer (layers palette and select rasterize).

I never hear of it either, but I'm new to all this PS stuff. But those instructions I put in my first post were copied direct off this site, the page that tells how to make text effects, inder the one; "making matalic Text". I'm using PS 7.0 if that helps any. Thanks for answering this Art |

Hmmm, the site prolly talks about doin things in an older version then. Do like Rodderman said. The thing is you'll have to fix the text layer in order to be able to work wiz it, and thats how it's done....
