:D I would make a blue rectangle and then type some text into it...Hehe, jokes aside...Is there something we're missing here ? that pic is just a blue rectangle with some text in it...

If you zoom in (i love opera) there is a faded pattern. Might as well not even be there..i can barely see it lol.

I think you need to read some manuals..tutorials on this one. Not like i dont feel like helping you...but if creating that effect is troubling...you obviously need to have more skills before you jump in.

Just as a jump start...a single row marquee..foreground color of white and layer set to about 50% opacity may help.

I got to make opera work on my XP !!! For some reason it won't, can't figure out why, but it does not work...It should, right ?

and vert, Rodman is on to something here...you will learn more if practising and if you do not know where, try the tut's on TPS homepage...and/or resource section.

That stuff is like... über-noob level...

To be blunt, it's a simple 4x4 pixel pattern.

Open a new document with 4x4 dimensions. Fill the background with a color of your choice. Then using the line tool, 1px no anti-aliasing, draw a 45º angle (hold shift while dragging) with the color of your choice from the top left corner to the bottom right. Select all (CTRL+A), Edit->Define pattern->Enter a name, OK.

Then just open the document you want to put that pattern in and go to Edit->Fill, Select the pattern->OK.

If you're familiar with alpha channels, you can make a base diagonal pattern using black and white.

And why use zoom, I can perfectly see the pattern with 100% zoom (that's default).
