Hello, I'm curious about the vbskinz. How do you enhance graphics like that. I assume with a 3-D program. Is it possible to make http://www.vbskinz.com/air/air_purchase_details.php in Photoshop alone? Yeah I guess it is but the task would be immese right...... Regards Fess |

the Task might be immense, but that's the beauty of photoshop. Considering that you will put in as much time and effort as neccessary, ANYTHING can be done. |

Wasn't to big a task after all. I made the individaul shapes (roughly) and used the inner shadow, gradient, render lighting etc..... I really like this techinque. There are so many Photoshop books out there an I've only read 2 Photoshop7 classroom in a book Adobe Photoshop7 Web Design with Golive (this book has art like the skins but as decor only) I want to learn advanced techniques like this, can someone recommend any book(s) that can educate me on mastering the layer styles and filters to achieve such results.... Regards Fess |

STEM... Can't go wrong with Photoshop books...... I've been using PS since 2002 July, before I was using Microsoft Image Composer for 3 years. The 2 programs are completely different. If you're just pulling PS7 out the box: 'Photoshop7 classroom in a book' is a must (in my opinon). Its a no-nonsense/straight work type book and familarized me with the interface till I was comfortable with it. Adobe Photoshop7 Web Design with Golive: Is not for beginners, I don't even have GoLive (book was a gift) but luckily 93% of the book is PS and the rest is minor golive. I learned a lot from Michael Baumgardt (author). This covers blending modes, layerstyles, shape layers etc... Regards Fess |

Thanks for the help Fess. I have been using Photoshop pretty casually for about 3 or 4 years now, and have been trying to teach myself. Now I'm starting to get more serious about it, but don't know whether to go with an intermediate book or start over with a beginner and learn everything the proper way. Any advice?
