I usually us the extract comand on photos (mostly cars and motorcycles) and I always end up with ugly tires. Should I be using another method to cut my images from the photos or is there a technic that will help out making tires look like tires? Tired of tires l7out7 |

If you're talking about car chopping and adding new rims then just grab the eliptical marquee tool and select the new rim and some of the tire and just copy and paste it over top of the old rims. I hope that helps somehow.

Most of the time tires look bad because they are black and the shadow on the asphalt under the car is also black so there is no defined edge to be easily extracted. Most of the time you'll have to picture what the tires should actually look like and form them manually. Kinda sucks, huh? tom |

Keep the shadow below the car so you don't have to. Or you could find a picture of some different tires and put them on. Or select them and then use that selection to get the right shape on the existing ones. Haven't tried any of those techniques except for the first one though. tom |
