Optimized Photo

I created i a rollover image in photoshop for a web site and i imported it into imageready i set up the different states for it and it works right know the probalm i'm having is that in order to get the image into dreamweaver i need to Optimize the image. What happens is the image gets very contrast and fuzzy looking if anyone has suggestions please post me.

If it's a GIF image, just make sure you have it set to the maximum 256 colors. If it's a JPEG, then adjust the quality slider and see if making it higher will solve your problem.
