Ok, i am following the tutorials, but i got stumped, how do i merge the text layer and the other transparent layer on top of it?

(i'm doing the metallic letter tut - the team one)

if anyone out there wouldn't mind me IMing them, could u put your SN up here for yahoo! AIM or MSN? thanx

Ctrl + E to merge a layer down. If the text layer isn't going try rasterzing it.

To merge layers together, you just got to link them and then press Ctrl+E or Layer > Merge linked

If you don't link layers, pressing Ctrl + E will merge the current layer with the one before it.
