Hey people, link: http://www.virtuelle.ca/temp/ozone/leftside.html Question for you all. I've been working on a new website and came up with something pretty clean/simple which I really like (so far anyways). I was just getting it ready to show to the client, and I ran into some trouble. Every time I go to export it (I've tried restarting it a few times to see if it helped, didn't...this is save for web btw) I get these waves of color where there shouldn't be any. Check out this link to see what i mean. I'm curious if anybody knows why this is happening, because I've tried playing with all my export settings and I haven't gotten very far. I've tried flattening all my background layers which are involved with the color, still nothing. Any help would be appreciated, Uth |

Do you mean the background color of that image is supposed to be all one color? I see very blurred splotches of color, but not what I would call waves.

hey there, thanks for replying. I guess I didn't explain myself very well, so I'll clarify as much as I can. The background is more than one color. It's a mix of purples, black and a little bit of yellow as you move right. In the lst link, you see these colors, but the transitions between each aren't very smooth at all. In the 2nd, you can see there aren't any waves/curves of color, it's pretty smooth between each. For the second I had to take a screen shot of my photoshop file and save it like that, which isn't really something I want to do for the actual site, hence the dilemma. 1st http://www.virtuelle.ca/temp/ozone/leftside.html 2nd http://www.virtuelle.ca/temp/ozone/images/leftside2.jpg Hopefully that clarifies it, and thanks for responding so quickly, Uth |

They actually look the same to me, Uthar. ??? Don't know what could be causing that on your monitor, but they look exactly the same to me. The second one actually looks slightly worse, but I don't see any banding or bad color transitions at all.

After you said that, I asked several of my co-workers to check it out, and none of them had the problem... so I guess it's both of my monitors. I went through all the color settings/refresh rates etc and I think they're the same (as well as being the same make of monitors as my co-workers)... Wow.. that's weird. I just hope it doesn't show up on the client's machine when I show them.... that might be a bit embarassing. thanks again, Uth |

Yeah just make sure you are at 32-bit color. Weird that it would look ok in photoshop though.
