not if if this is your solution... on your image layer that u like to have greyscale, go... Image/Mode/Grayscale... then choose Don't Flatten.... create a new layer, then go again to Image/Mode/RGB... then choose Don't Flatten... then add your type to your desired color... cheers heathrowe |

But when you do that it is 3 or 4 colors if you are in RGB or CMYK, respectively.

In your colour picker, choose "custom". If you have a Pantone Spot guide, then you can dial in the number you want.

Yes I know you can do that, but when you save the file, it will be in CMYK or RGB.... You can choose the spot colors, but what you output is not 2 colors.

Speaking only VERY generally.... Your Spot Channel must be set up in your Channels Palette and you need to Save the file as a Photoshop DCS 2.0. Then, choose "Multiple File DCS..." and choose which type of composite you want to save. Binary Encoding, is the default choice and you usually want to stick with that. Really, you should be asking the people printing this how they want it supplied to them. |
