How do you make all your purdy little backgrounds in your pics? Like the bg's here like in "pineapple teddy" and the "anzu sayuri" pic. You don't have to like a tut or anything... just a general statement. Thanks a million. :D |

I just use some patterns I make and fill a whole channel layer, select the area I want to fill with the pattern and then ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+Left Click the Alpha layer to select the whites. That would load the selection in order to fill later on. In the Pineapple Teddy, it's just a basic diamond pattern with colors applied to it. If you add a few random details with then pencil tool, you can make it look interesting. Also, if you add a mid-gray color it produces a lighter area. Same goes with any other general pattern. An example of the above two patterns. I made a set of patterns a long long long time ago that has like 3 or 4 or 5 random patterns in it. It's not shapes, just a nice repeating background. pixel01.pat |
