hey

been using PhotoShop for mabye a year and a half and was just wondering what plugins people here used, and what kind of work you used them in (website graphics, logos, abstract art, etc)

heres what i usually like to use..

KPT7 - if ya dont know and have never used these u dont know what your missing.. espically hypertiling and fraxflame

Master Blaster - great free color plugins.. come in yellow, green, red, blue, violet.. 3 filters in for each color (hue tint and background) plus 3 mixer plugs which mix RGB in really odd ways..

Flaming Pear - Flood, a really cool water plugin... Lunar Cell - Makes planets and moon like objects. Solar Cell - makes stars and suns.. I haven't really used too many other plugs from these guys but im sure they all rock..

any reccomendations on other plugs to use? or good websites with a selection of free or trial plugs?

thanks

I use whatever will get what's in my head onto the screen in the most efficient manner.

Having said that, I really like KPT5's ShapeShifter, Smoothie and Noize; KPT6's Equalizer; Extensis' Photographics' (no longer made) for Text-on-a-Path directly in Photoshop; XaosTools Terrazzo for seamless tiles. Plus, there a couple old (1994) Mac-only plugins that Photoshop engineer Chris Cox authored before he started working at Adobe that are great for generating random organic-looking textures.

I use EyeCandy 4000 and that one plugin that has Sinedots as a filter. I used to have like 10 other plugins but not anymore!

I'm default. Although I would like to see an example of that organic plug-in Utopian.

Besides, it ain't the tools, it's how you use what you have.

I like plugins when they afford me more speed producing what I envision than I could by being a plugin denouncing luddite.
