Does the image below make sense? Look a how it works. Apply the concepts there to a square document, the size of your choice. It will tile seamlessly. So will the top half, the bottom half, the left half or the right half.

I am not tiling it =) If you would have read the thread above.... I am just making one, making the length bigger than the canvas, Rotating it, then copy paste until you have the right amount. If you move them with the arrow keys (hold shift for more distance) an equal amount from each one you will have even lines....

Better yet, what size do you need it and I will send you one later....

i can make the lines yes using arrows keys, although a better way is to make the background yellow then just make some black lines but for the love of god marble you have not said how to tile them maybe we have a different meaning of what tiling is meant to look like, its for a game, it needs to be one long line for each! the only way thats possible is by uto's method which i will try but i was hoping for more lines, lets just leave the topic at that, thanks for all your help guys.

4. Now copy and paste that bar till you have enough of them. Space them out how you feel. Voila.

Here I just did one real quick from one of your pix you posted. Its 1024 x 1024 so you should be able to use it.

I don't understand what you mean by "I was hoping for more lines". For any texture that you want to have tile seamlessly, it is always best to use the smallest possible image that will do what you want; in a game this is important because it saves file size and speeds up rendering time. The tile I posted an image of, above, is actually TWICE the size it needs to be. Like I said, if you crop it so you're left with ANY half of that image it will tile seamlessly because the opposite edges (left and right, and/or top and bottom) of the plane will meet up when wrapped on a virtual cylinder.

Look at how the angles and edges are constructed; once you understand the simple concept you can make the same construction at any size, and it will tile to seamlessly fill any size area, giving you "as many lines" as you need.

If pressed, I could suss out the mathematical relationship between any angle you'd like (besides the 45° angle shown), the width of the lines and the smallest reduction possible in the ratio of height:width for the canvas size, but that would be too much like work. :D

Game texture you see, its different, you have to make the textures a certain size say 512x512 and if i only have 2 lines then the actual texture wont have much surface space and not much detail or will tile ok but still have a repeated look, its hard to explain i guess you only know if you have tried making textures for games

OK...I've known EXACTLY what you need all along, even if I was a little shy on some of the particulars.

The image I posted above should provide more than enough clues to create a 512 X 512 square that will do what you need.

This is kindergaten ****.
