I am going to school for graphic design this fall. The computers primarily used are macintosh. Since they are very expensive compared to a pc, I was wondering if there was a way to convert a pc photoshop (illustrator etc.) file to a mac file, and vice versa. I would rather spend my money on a pc then a mac. Will there be any lose in quality etc.? thanks destro |

No need to convert...period. All Photoshop and Illustrator files work cross-platform. The only thing you'll need to be careful about is having any fonts you may have used while working on the pc that are either not converted to outlines (Illustrator) or rasterised (Photoshop) available on the Mac. Color accuracy may also be an issue as well, since for some asinine reason Wintels never seemed to want to adopt the clearly superior ColorSync system for their systems. |
