Hi folks . please if any one can tell me how to change mode of one layer if i have to layers same image in RGB mode . and i want to change one the layers mode to grayscale without changing in the mode of the other layer.

You cannot change the mode - but you can fx. add a hue/saturation adjustmentlayer to the one that need to be greyscaled, and then put the saturation to it's lowest.. I think...

another way would be create a duplicate - change that version to grayscale, then change it back to rgb (it will still be gray because you got rid of all the color information.) and copy that layer back into your original.
