cool 3d lines effect?

does anyone know of a tutorial to make those cool 3d lines that i see? for example, the one to the left of the teamphotoshop homepage???

i don't even know where to start....

You're gonna have to be more specific, can you take a pic of your screen and circle what you want? There's lots of lines on the teamps.

aren't lines inheriently 2d? i may be wrong but one point = 1d 2 points (a line) 2d... 3 points in space = 3d.....

3 points with X,Y,Z axis is 3D
4D is X,Y,Z,T T is Time

ok, sorry for the vagueness of my question, but here is what i am looking to learn:

the left side of the homepage of teamphotoshop has these "3d" looking tubes of lines with really great lighting and looks like pipes intertwining in 3d.

Yup the Pank tubes! It's a tighter secret then the location of Saddam Hussein, but come up with your own tubes.

Does anybody else not see the 'greatness' of tubes. I mean, yeah they look awesome, but I don't understand how it can be used on a mass scale as far as web-design. Those tubes were meant for TP and they look great, but it wouldn't fit if it were on another site.
