I'm curious how one made this texture, a very realistic cement/worn cement type look to it. I've gone through a number of texture tutorials played with a number of different methods and none seem to acheive that same feel. Anyone have any ideas? http://www.ownith.net/ I'm refering to the header and footer of the site. |

easy way: take a photo too many people seem to feel they have to do something solely in photoshop when in reality most good textures are at least partially photo-based. why work your butt off to recreate something that won't look as real or natural as the original you can just snap a pic of? chris |

Having recently bought a digital camera one of the first things i did was to shoot close-ups of concrete, bricks, tree bark rocks etc. Than made textures out of 'em!
