Maybe I should explain what I was hopin to do.I was hopin that I could take different "screen " shots like the one below, but different ones in consecutive order and make the sig appear to be animated that way.Do I apply the diff screen shots to diff layers to get that effect,or ?

I'll try keep this simple. Open PS7 and create a new image. Take the 'screen shots' of what u want to animate. Lets say u want to make those guns in ur sig appear as if they're shooting. Select 5 key images from the source images or movieclip that give the best sense of motion and paste them into the new file. This will create 5 layers. Jump to Image Ready and create 5 frames with 1sec timing between frames. Now u have 5 frames with 5 screen-shots. Select Frame 1 and Layer 1 and hide all the other layers. Goto Frame 2 and hide Layer 1 and unhide Layer 2 only and so on, hit play. There is a major drawback to doing animation this way, its time consuming and the more animated parts u have the more complex each frame becomes - and the more frames u use the bigger the file size and ur sigs will get massive quickly. I'd suggest if u really want to do good animated sigs use Flash. |

No Flash FXP is a file transfer application which has nothing to do with making graphics or animation but 3D Flash Animator would do the trick althou I was refering to Macromedia Flash MX which you can also get as a trail from cnet.com - I haven't used 3D Flash so I'm not sure how good it is but I use FlashMX when I want to do something better than gif animation. Good luck |

OK, I picked up a few books incl.Photoshop 6 Visual Insight,Using Adobe Photoshop 7 and Photoshop 7 at Your Fingertips.( I have PS7) What I'm tryin to do I would think is not that difficult, lol!Anyways I have several pics (like my sig below) that are in consecutive order showin the "movement" of this person falling while firing this weapon.I saved them as psd and jpeg and gif. They don't need anymore editin. All I want to do now is get them workin in the animation pallette, in ImageReady. So I set up the image the way that I want it to appear in the first frame of the animation. Then I choose Create Layer for each new frame. Then I repeat this process for each frame. Then I am supposed to be able to view this in the animation pallette.Well...not so.I don't think that I need to use the tween option cause all of the frames are already consecutive.(I tried usin the tween option anyways but still no luck). I started w/the psd's.No luck, so I made jpeg's to work from, still no luck.So then I made gif's,still no go.I don't know what else to do.What am I doin wrong? :p |
