Umm..how do you make so the text tool has a pop-up screen come out when you're typing? For me it just has a red layer and you type directly on that...it's so annoying...

Ya does anybody know if you can set it to pop up. Thats the only thing I dislike about PS 6. I love the Text Box popup. Mike |

That red layer is when you type as a selection. In the optionsbar you can change it to just text. Much better then a popup window...

guys, for years I cussed, ranted and screamed about that sorry text dialog in earlier versions of PS.... now you tell me you don't like the direct to canvas text of version 6? Sheesh.... for me, someone who has used PS forEVER, I think it is a great improvement. |

Yeah - why on earth would you want to have a pop-up anyway? The new type controls are far superior to version 5. You can actually do precise typography and have a live preview with all the layers as you do it! Some people are mad! |

and, and,and...... I might as well throw this in Preview the color of your text in Photoshop 6 Because you have to highlight your text in order to change its color, it's difficult to view your results until after the fact. To get around this, press [command]H ([Ctrl][Alt]H in Windows) to remove the highlight. |
