"Terrible" is a broad, generic term that doesn't tell anyone anything.. Summon up your decriptive writing muscles and put some "ooomph" into explaining exactly what's so bad about it and what you want to do. |

OK, SORRY!! ::screams sarcastically:: its dull in color and the image seems to have screen lines going across horizontally [and i dont know y]. It looks so much different from the origional one; but I'm gonna try to scan it with my friends scanner later and see if its better - that is if i cant fix mine up. does that help? |

To fix the color you can play with the hue/saturation settings. the horizontal lines are a lot harder to deal with. sometimes scanning at a high resolution and then shrinking the image will help. but it really depends on exactly how they look. you'll also want to use Filter > Noise > Dust & Scratches to take out any dust particles and stuff on the picture or scanner. there are lots of techniques to fixing up a bad scan. and which ones you use depend on what problems you are having. it may be worth it to just go buy a $100 scanner, depending on how often you will be scanning. |

there are a million and one things that can be done to salvage bad scans, but there is one caveat - You can't polish a turd! If you can post a small res picture of your problem. Without seeing the problem I am loathed to doll out advice (hmm doesn't normally stop me) so in that spirit..... http://members.ozemail.com.au/~binaryfx/PSTV_links.html#s |
