dotted line

how do I make a dotted line in photoshop?

The way i would think would to Enter "- - - - - - - -" as text and there ya go.

I have Psp (soon to have ps!!)..and thats how i make dotted lines..

Yeah, just get an appropriate font and put "- - - - - - - - - - - - - - " in it, and then transform (ctrl-T) to the right shape.

I remember PS 5.5 used to have a cool feature on the pencil or brush tool where you could make dotted lines. Then they got rid of it on 6 and that was a bad move IMO.

Well there are many ways. One simple way is to make a 2x1 sized image. Paint the first pixel to white and the other to black. Then press CTRL+A (Select all). Then from the Edit-menu click Define pattern. Ok, now open the image where you want the dotted line. Select an area for example 200x1 pixels and then from the Edit-menu click Fill. Select Pattern from Use-box and click Ok. Voila, dotted line!
