last step on tutorial

in the first tutorial of text effects (the one to make chrome letters) I could not make the last step because it says to go to layers->rasterize-> but the option to rasterize is disabled when I try. can someone help me? I use photoshop 7.0

Well, if you're on the text layer and the T is in the layer box then right click on that layer and go to Rasterize.
