Hi eveyone. I'm new to this site. I have done a search but haven't been able to find what I am looking for. Can somebody explain to me how to make a mosaic picture. I want to make one large picture which is made up of many tiny little pictures. Just like those posters you see of a pixelated picture of something or someone made up of hundreds of tiny images. Is there a way to do this manually, or will I need a certain plug-in. I am using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Thanks, Jeff |

The same way you would do it in real life: get pictures, arrange them in such a way that the complete image looks like something else.

Yeah, there is no plug-on or filter for it. I tried it once. It's a HUGE pain in the ass. But good luck, and don't forget to show us the result if you actually do it. |

Actually, its pretty easy....I think your thinking of Half Tone though..First-You have to switch your image to Greyscale, then your probably gonna want to bump up your contrast a bit. Then put a bit of a blur on the whole pic..then go to your Color half tone filter, it may take a little experimenting, but you'll get it. If you want color, well, I'll just let you figure that out. |

I'll try that, thanks......that really sounds like what I want to do. I'll let everyone know the outcome.
