Clipping Paths HELP!

I have a document in which I need to outline several objects seperately, when I do so and place the Photoshop file into Illustrator nothing shows up. It seems as though when I outline one item it will work but as soon as I outline multiple items (seperately) it will not work. Can someone please tell me if this is possible. I am incredibly frustrated.

I just answered my own question by trial and error. In case anyone else runs into the same problem, you have to keep everything you outline in the same path in order to make it work, I was making a new path for every item.

I wish more people would take initiative like this. There are so many things tht can be discovered, all it takes is a little curiosity, a little time, patience and perseverance.
