Is the line tool the best? If it is, what settings are the best to fulfill my wish=?



Its because im going to make some assembley drawings for furniture (shelves and stuff) in high resolutin and the line MUST be very clean and black , but not too thick (1-3 pixel)

... line tool, pen tool, pencil tool,... they're all the same color if you use it correctly... or incorrectly as well for that matter. :(

It just depends on how well you use them.. . which should be a basic skill you should have if you own Photoshop.

If you have access to Illustrator - the vector paths will create the cleanest lines.

Hmm... There are a LOT of options for the different tools, and trying them all is taking a loong time, which i dont have.

Dont write anything unless you have anything usefull to write. The same goes for your talking... But i guess you have heard that before.

the purest will be vector, you can stroke them at any pixel width. You can use the paths in Photoshop to get it and export to illustator, and vice versa.

If you have enough time to be posting online, Im sure you can take a bit of time and play with or read about the simpliest of questions. Don't come in here telling people they are useless, when it looks like you are quite useless at using Photoshop. Quit wasting time pissing people off and spend more time learning.

They all fill equally and resolution is set when you create the document. Vector will get you the best print output for line work, then using bitmap.

I realise you think the answers are sarcastic and unnecesary, but they answered your question. You ask what settings are best for a 1-3 pixel line, well how about 1-3 pixels? or is the question not obvious?

And using a vector based program will create a much cleaner document. like Illustrator. So no worries mate.
