hi hope all guys are fine and enjoying with photoshop, i have a question that how can i sharp a scanned image by flat bat scanner , because scanned image has very large quantities of dots and when i go to unsharp mask and any other tool but couldnt be succeeded. so i will be very thankful if any person tell me the right way of sharpning the scaned image. |

I would imagine that if you are scanning you are going to be sampling down, this should illiminate the half-tone pattern or moir that you are getting. I would scan at at least 300dpi and upto 600dpi, then sample down for any web work. As for sharpening methods there are loads and loads of techniques out there, without seeing the actual image you are working with it is difficult to estimate which would be best. However, that said I would use the high pass filter. Make a duplicate of your image and run the high pass filter on it at anywhere from .5 (more realistically 3 or more) to 10 or so. Change the layer blend mode to either hard light (if you choose this you may need to reduce the opacity of the layer) or Soft light. hope that helps. |

I use noise > dust and scratches to get rid of dots a lot.
