Cant make a simple outline/border on rectangles and circles |

Hi I just wanna draw a white circle with a black outline(border). WHY??! cant i do that? :eek: |

if yer using photoshop 6.0 and up....this is a pretty basic thing...and you can do it many ways... use the custom shapes tool(U), and select the ecplipse tool from the top bar...make sure your foreground colour is set to white...and just draw a circle...then rasterize that layer....then click edit>stroke... set the width to whatever you want and set location to outside. 2nd way: draw the shape....right click the layer, bring up blending options...click stroke and change the settings. |

Its not a good way to do it. But obviously the only one. You have to work in a very high resolution to get a good result with stroke. But ok, the program isnt really a vector or _drawing_ program.

Whenever you select anything you can go to edit --> stroke and do it from there. That way you can have the stroke on a seperate layer....
