Gradient Background - Photoshop 7

I would like to create a somewhat complex gradient background for my website and am really not to sure how to go about doing that.

I found this background on the net.

Would someone be able to provide me with step by step instructions on how to create this with Photoshop 7. I would really appreciate it if you could also send me the raw PSD file so I can learn this technique.

Pop ups!!!! Grrr.... anyways.... Make a complex background like that, then slice vertically the height of the gradient and about 1-2 pixels wide. Then with your background it will tile across.

I'm comfortable in taking the background from any page, I could also just right click and save as background.

It's more I'm wondering how such a complex background can be created from scratch using Photoshop 7.

I'm sure the author of this background using some pattern feature of PS7 and then just repeated it rather then creating it manually.

That's what I would like to learn, how it the background was created from scratch.
