I searched on google, but I wasnt able to find eactly what I was looking for and I didnt know how to word it in a search. Anyway, if you have an image that you wanna delete the parts on the side out of, say there white, but part of the image is white also, and u use the magic wand tool and it selects inside the image and screws it up. Im trying to get around that on an image like this See where the hair is white? THe magic wand tool gets into it. Anyone know how ot get around this? Thanks in advance.

try lowering the tolerance of the magic wand tool it should work because the white hair is a bit different from the white background |

Its about time you stepped up from the kiddie-way and use the Pen Tool or the Lasso tool to manually select the person. That was is the cleanest way to extract something from a background. Or if you have a tablet, you can go into Quick Mask mode and just paint the area you want to select and boom, you got yourself a selection.
