I just had a look at the picture of your car. This would be really difficult because the lighting when you took the picture wasn't the greatest....too many shadows, not enough detail in the dark areas. Get it out from under that tree! Let's see if the Image link works....all ya gotta do is remove "www." from the URL you had to get to the image. http://angelfire.com/extreme2/brandonspics/stang1.jpg |

Utopian, thats exactly what I'm looking for. So could you post an explanation of how you did that? Yah I know that picture isn't too great.

I hate to tell you this but....take another picture of your car. Preferable conditions would be on a bright, somewhat overcast day. Get out from under that tree If you're going digital, use the best setting your camera allows, with as little compression as possible. If you're scanning a photograph, use at least 300 p.p.i. Once it's in Photoshop...do NOTHING to it. Save it as an RGB Photoshop file. Zip it up or compress it using whatever archiving utility you have, upload it to your server and provide a link so one of us can D/L the PSD file. Changing FROM black to another color isn't easy, as it would be going from a lighter color, but it can be done. As for explaining how I'd do it, well I could give you a brief synopsis, but my being able to it at all comes from doing this sort of thing a lot, and knowing what works for each particular situation. Provide a better photo and we'll take it from there. |

http://angelfire.com/extreme2/brandonspics/View.jpg Here's a pic of a car, good lighting, easy color. I would appreciate it if you could make this car some diff color, and explain how you did it. It doesn't really matter if my car gets it's color changed, it was just an example. I just wanna know a good way to get drastically diff colors, not just colors w/in a few shades of what I already have. Thanks. |
