"If we mutate this drone into the spawning pool and use the others only for collecting minerals we could have a force of 6 zerglings attacking the enemy Protoss base before he can build any military units." Well with that said. I would start by looking into our resources section and see what links to photoshop tutorial sites are available. One I might suggest is www.eyeball-design.com He might not have that skin effect, but he has a lot of interface designs that rock. That is one part of the equation. |

i can do interfaces, i pride myself in them, but i dont have a cool aline skin to put over the interfaces, so they just stay white and end up getting deleted which is no good. so far the internet is baren of tutorials. im going to have to make my own... |

because of the nature of organic objects, and the propensity towards sharp straight lines on a computer, it's going to pose difficult. I would recommend drawing from nature. You'll have to build your way up slowly, layer by layer, paying particular attention to colours and blending modes. Looking on wildlife websites will give you a little inspiration. Given the nature of the zerg, I would recommend investigating and researching insects and worms etc. It might help to draw it freehand and scan it in for colouring. |
