how to make a stamped/printed text effect ? |

Hello I would like to make a stamped/printed type effect but don't know how to do such a thing To be more clear I've placed some examples of this text effect : ex1: a movies poster (ocean eleven) http://floppy1230.tripod.com/ocean_eleven2.JPG ex2: a game covers (the getaway) http://floppy1230.tripod.com/thegetaway2.GIF Anybody knows how to achieve such an effect ? a tutorial site ?? a plugin maybe ??? Thanks |

You'll have to post different examples. Tripod doesn't allow you to link images. But maybe try a combo of these: 1. Reduce opacity of type layer just a little 2. http://www.phong.com/tutorials/chip/ 3. Erasing parts of text using a spatter brush 3. |

You can also create whatever it is that you want to give this effect to (in the two examples you used text) and download some interesting brushes and erase parts of them. Note: If you want to erase parts of text, it must be rasterized first. |

I did. It still doesn't work. I even tried the 'question-mark' trick. I'll have one more go... |
