one way is to make a new layer after your image is made and color the whole thing black or red. Then take the Rectangular Marquee Tool and hightlight the inside until you have a border size you want and delete the section selected by hitting the delete key on your keyboard.

so there is no border right ok here are the steps. 1. Make a new layer -layer/new/layer 2. Use the paint button tool on the tool bar - 3. color the layer using it black or what ever color you want the border to be. 4.Now use the Rectangular Marquee Tool - 5. Now Hightlight the inside of the black layer leaving a outside border the size you want . - 6. Then just hit the delete key on your keyboard and it should leave a border. |

Read the help files, it's really simple. I won't suggest reading the manual in case you uh... lost it |

1. Shift + CTRL + N (makes new layer) 2. CTRL + A (selects entire image) 3. D (chooses the default colors of black and white) 4. Select > Modify > Border 5. Press 1 6. ALT + Backspace (fills a 1 pixel border around the image with the foreground color) Or 1. Select the pencil tool 2. Choose the size of 1 pixel 3. Click in the top left corner of the image and hold shift while you drag a straight line to the other side of the image. 4. Release 5. Repeat |
