I want to create transparent text to import into Dreamweaver. Everytime I try to save for web, I get a white background. Thanks for your help.

save as a .gif (or a .png if your browser supports it) and ensure that transparency is one of the colours included.

yeah save as gif. It can be transparent or not transparent so you have to make sure you chekc it when you save if using Photo Shop. Never herd or seen png being transparent?

png has a 255 shade alpha channel I think. It has degrees of transparency. Very cool, but not very well supported.

hi, my thoughts... 1. definitely you want to save as a png... because of the partial traspancy that involved as far as the object there appears to a gradent also... gif can't partial tranparency .... 2. one way... make blank layer create your circles the iner circle may apply a circular gradient... then put in your character... now once done then you can adjust your layer opacity level for the degree of transparency you want.. and of course save as png.. |
