does anyone know of any tips or tutorials on how to create a puff of smoke effect?????? picture this: One magician standing and smiling, next to him a puff of smoke. got to try and create it as photorealistic as possible. client with no budget! any help... cheers in advance |

hmm... perhaps use the paint brush lower its opacity a bit, make some clumps then gaussian blur it out the wazzo ?

Make a area selection. (layered) render clouds Motion and gausian blur. Cheap (ie fast). the more precise the area selected the better it will look. You can then adjust the opacity to suit you. |

Do what zyc did, but instead of doing gaussian blur, use a small brush or the sponge brush with the smudge tool to create wisps of smoke more realistically.
