Hi, I was wondering if you had any tips on making a nice signature to sign work with. If you have any recommendations for some beautiful cursive text to use for the signature, that would be great too. I don't have a scanner to scan my own signature to make it into a brush but I would like to make one into a brush. I'd like a nice glowing effect, not too much, just a bit of a shimmer to it... Thank you. ~Jessi |

Hmm on the whole TTF fonts are not very good for "real" looking sig's because all the letters follow the same form. As you don't have a scanner, maybe find a nice font you kind like then do your best to "trace" over it with your pen/mouse, then do something like making the last letter turn into an underline, the first letter be over-excentuated (!?). As for a glow use a layer style for out glow, and simmer, mabe use a slight gradient with a inner glow and a lesser outer glow (Right click on your layer > Blending Options, you'll see them there)

Got a digicam or a webcam? You CAN do it with one of these. Requirements: BRIGHT, indirect lighting—be careful of shadows or too much reflection from the paper; A tripod or some way of securely fixing the camera so it doesn't move. Sign your name onto bright white paper using a NEW Sharpie™ Marker, as many times as necessary until you get a version you're happy with. Then, open the image in Photoshop and clean it up. Make a brush out of it, or if you're handy, manually trace it with the Pen Tool and create a Custom Shape out of it. |
