using the line tool

hello, i have a question about the line tool. i am reading a tutorial for making interfaces, going along with the instructions on my copy of photoshop 7. as i was getting near the end the tutorial said to create some lines using the line tool, however I can't seem to select the color i want to fill in the line. anybody have any ideas on how to do this?

When you have the line tool selected, there is a box at the top of the screen that says "Color:" just click in the box to right of those words and select a color. That properties bar at the top of the screen also allows you to set the thickness of the line, and other options.
