I have created the layout for a website in photoshop. I guess you could call it the template. It contains the background, the topmenu, the left side menu, etc. Now, how do I slice it up so the images are placed in the proper table cells in dreamweaver. There must be tool for this. Thanks for any advice, sorry if this is a dumb question. |

You can just crop the images separately, Save For Web, then Undo the crop, and crop another part of it. Or you can use imageready to create slices that will export all of them at once for you. |

from photoshop, click the button at the bottom of the palette that will shift everything into imageready. use the tool that looks like a craft knife to slice the image up as required (may take a little practice so be prepared to reload the original). You can also include animations and rollovers. When you're happy, you have to save it all, and imageready will generate the relevant HTML for you. If you need to, you can amend the HTML in notepad/dreamweaver/frontpage etc. |

just as a side note... don't go skimping in image ready... fill out all the applicaple info on each item (hyperlinks, onMouseover Actions, etc.) trust me... doing it all in imageready saves time then just exporting the slices and pasting them together in Dreamweaver. (although you will still want to clean up the code after you export it as a html)
