im trying to make pixel icons, like a book, and some other icons for a CMS (content management system) that i am making. ![]() |

Just select the 1 pixel pencil tool, a color, zoom in, and start drawing. There are really no shortcuts to it. Other than using larger brushes to fill in areas and stuff. But other than that it's one pixel at a time.

aite, well i guess it just takes alot of practice then? well thanks, ill just have to work with it awhile then before i make the final cuts. thanks!

Yes, practice. But the good thing about pixel art is that it's really easy to find a page with it and copy the file to your computer, then open it in photoshop and zoom in on it to see exactly how they did it. That's the best way to learn.

I have a lousy lousy tutorial on making something like that here -> http://www.astudios.org/2003/index.php?section=../contents/tutorials_photoshop/icons/icons I'm sure it doesn't tell you what you want, but I think you might get some insight to the world of tiny tiny pixel thingies. :D |
