I have a question in mind for a very long time and is wondering if anybody can help.

I do a lot of image editing, example cutting out pictures of a persons's head and place it on a picture w/c contain a body such as a king, princess, soldeirs etc. I often cut out pictures from digital shots and put them on a normal .jpg file to merge them. The issue is that the color profiles/brightness/contrass of the 2 pictures are not the same so it's very clear that they are edited.

I tried them all, under "Image-Adjust" then changing the image's hue/saturation, color balace, brightness/contrast however most of my works are still very noticeable that it's edited. only a handful of few shots comes out really blended that well.

I was hoping someone knows a better, more effective approach to do this. can you guys kindly share with me.

thanks a million.

Play with the curves. Also use your dropper and place it over the picture you are going to merge and notice the percentages of color values in your navigator window. Try to match skin tones and other colors in the pics by using this method. There are rgb and cmyk percentages in that window.

hi,

Thanks for your inputs. some questions:

about the curves yes, I've tried them from time to time and it's kinda hard to use but it does some help but not much, maybe becasue i'm not that good with it.

About matching the skin tones, how can I do that by using the percentages? I know how to do that per pixel? but how do you work with an entire face for example?

Thank you very much and hoping for your kind reply.

It takes time, bottom line. You can set the dropper to take an average of 1, 3 or I think 5 pixels. That should help out a little. There is no easy way.
